June 1, 2007 roads open; Barcroft gate locked

December 8, 2006 Road to Barcroft closed; gate locked.

October 25, 2006 road passable but slippery on N-facing slopes of sheep pass - may need 4wd and/or chains.

October 16, 2006 road mostly blocked by snow, but remained passable using 4WD and chains

June 23, 2006, road open to Barcroft: Barcroft gate locked.

June 20, 2006. Snow ploughed away from roadbed, muddy but open to Barcroft Gate.

May 18, 2006. Snow cleared enabling WMRS vehicles to drive to Crooked Creek. However, the gates are still locked at Schulman Grove, and there are drifts blocking the road past the Crooked Creek turnoff. Silver Canyon road gate is locked and there are reports of rocks and debris on the steep parts of the road.

January 1 2006 White Mountain Roads closed; snow blocks road at Westgard Pass turnoff.

July 4, 2005 Roads to Barcroft and Crooked Creek are in normal summer condition. Please note that the White Mountain road is washboarded and visitors should allow for some extra time in getting up to the stations.

June 24, 2005 WM road is barricaded at the turnoff to the Patriarch Grove. Snow blocks access between Sheep Mt. and Paute Mt.

June 6, 2005 Road open to Crooked Creek, barricaded beyond CC. Snow blocks access at Sheep Mountain and Barcroft. Snow deep on road near Barcroft.

June 4, 2005 Road open to Schulman Grove. Locked beyond. With keys, driveable to Crooked Creek on Saturday June 4.
