Description:
Abstract:
This dataset contains an evaluation of risk for landslides for the region between the towns of Mammoth Lakes and June Lake, California, in the Inyo National Forest. This data is contained in the report, 'Geological Resource Inventory: An Evaluation of Landslide, Seismic and Volcanic Hazards in the Inyo National Forest'. This report was prepared for the Inyo National Forest in 1981 by Merrill and Seeley, Inc. Data is displayed on mylar overlays at 1:24000 for use with 7.5 minute quads.

Purpose:
This report was generated as part of the Mammoth to June Ecosystem Project, a landscape analysis carried out by the Inyo National Forest.

Supplemental_Information:

Procedures_Used: The mylar overlays from the report were scanned and edited in LT4x. After they were edited in LT4x they were imported into a GIS program called Distributed Wildland Resource Inventory Systems (DWRIS). After new software became available, the data was exported as a moss file and converted to an ARC coverage using ARCINFO's MOSSARC. It was then edited to be seamless (quad line boundaries were removed).
