Summer 2004 GLORIA field week In the summer of 2004 WMRS teamed up with the US Forest Service to establish two GLORIA monitoring sites, consisting of 4 peaks each, located in the eastern Sierra Nevada and in the White Mountains (see GLORIA map). On each peak a monitoring protocol has been set up, and baseline data recorded. The monitoring plan then calls for each site to be re-sampled at 5 year intervals. Changes in vegetation will be noted and correlated to other environmental variables such as soil temperature and air temperature. Poster In November 2004 we prepared a poster for presentation at the American Geophysical Union meetings in San Francisco, summarizing the findings to date.
